You could be mistaken for thinking that HTC were pretty much planning to only release high-end devices this year, but the latest rumours suggest you may be wrong.
The HTC Primo is rumoured to be a mid-range Android-bearing Beats Audio device, which could be announced alongside the HTC Edge at Mobile World Congress next month.
Other rumoured specs of the Primo include:
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
- HTC Sense UI 4.0
- 3.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass technology
- Dual core 1.0GHz processor
- 5MP camera, 730p HD video capture
From the specs sheet, it looks like HTC could be preparing the Primo as the successor to the HTC Desire series, and the addition of Beats Audio technology would definitely make the device a popular choice at the mid-range price point.
Then again, the Primo could turn out to be non-existent. I guess we’ll find out at MWC, where we’ll be reporting live from.
